Without a doubt, Roulette online is one of the most popular casino games on the internet. However, for novice players, the layout of the game with its different types of bets or the sequence of the game itself might raise some questions. So what are the rules of this exciting game? What strategies are recommended for novice players? Let our comprehensive guide walk you through your first online games!
Online Roulette is certainly popular with fans of gambling. While slot machines and Poker dominate, statistically speaking, the famous table game – popularized in France in 1796 – Retains an important place in the table game arena. Since the implementation of the new Swiss Gambling Law in 2019, the number of online roulette fans in Switzerland has increased every month. What is the reason for this inexhaustible phenomenon? Certainly the highly accessible nature of this game plays a part.
Contrary to popular belief, online Roulette is not just for a certain kind of player. No matter your budget or your level of comfort with gambling in general, online Roulette can meet all of your expectations!
Of course, in order to take full advantage of all the possibilities offered by this must-play table game, getting the basic rules down is an essential step.
Every game of online Roulette is comprised of several stages which are announced by a real croupier (or “virtual animation”):
Unlike games played in land-based casinos, online gambling is based on automated programs. In other words, it isn’t possible to slip in bets after the croupier closes the bets. Additionally, any wagers placed on the table cannot be withdrawn (or moved to another placement). It is therefore crucial to pay close attention to the progress of the game in order to enjoy the best possible online Roulette experience.
Online Roulette only uses virtual chips, of course. The amounts of these chips are based on the amount set in your player account. And each online Roulette game has a specific minimum and maximum bet amount. Be sure to choose a version of the game that best fits your budget (VIP games are reserved for the "connoisseurs," more advanced players).
Not familiar with online gambling? Don’t worry! The PASINO.ch platform has been designed to accommodate every online player, regardless of their level of familiarity with online casinos. To start, follow these simple steps:

As a beginning player, your first goal will naturally be to integrate the basic rules of online roulette. In addition to the structure of a game, it is essential to be able to identify the different combinations presented on the game table.
To learn more about the basic rules of online roulette, don’t hesitate to check out our FAQ ("Rules of Roulette” section). Here, you will find all the fundamental information such as odds and probabilities for European or American roulette, etc.
Think the rules of online Roulette are accessible? Now it's time for you to experience your first game! In order to reduce the risk of losses and enjoy the best possible (and stress-free) experience, we recommend beginning with the demo version of the game. This mode includes a feature for players to make fake bets. In other words, any winnings/losses or use of credit will not involve any deposit or withdrawal. Take this opportunity to learn how to play online Roulette before advancing to real money games!
Ready to bet real money on online Roulette? Playing responsibly within your budget is crucial to having a positive experience. As a result, PASINO.ch offers new players an exclusive welcome bonus (accessible from the "Promotions” section of our site). Take advantage of this offer to double the value of your first deposit. Don’t miss out!
As a first step, we recommend that you focus on outside bets. The odds associated with these combos have lower earning potential compared to other bets (such as Straight Up or Street Bets), but the odds of success will allow you to "play longer" and help you to develop your own strategies.
As a beginner, you might wonder what the major differences are between European and American online roulette. These two variants do have similar rules of play. However, there are some notable differences in the betting system:
As a beginner, European roulette remains the best choice for learning the rules of the game in optimal conditions!
Some forums or websites claim that some supposedly “unbeatable” strategies can be applied during a game of online Roulette. Nevertheless, this fame is based on a fundamental principle: the luck factor. Indeed, whether it’s in games operated by a land-based casino or on the internet, the behaviour of the ball (real or virtual) in the cylinder is completely random.
At PASINO.ch, we guarantee an online casino experience of unquestionable integrity. We make sure that the games offered are tested and approved by independent laboratories. We highly value the trust of our players and maintaining this trust is one of our top priorities!
Live Casino games offer players a realistic and exciting experience. Fans of online Roulette will be able to enjoy the game live along with other players. The presence of a real dealer makes a strong case for live casino games, where you can even replay the videos streamed live in HD in order to carefully study every step made during the game.
Since the presence of other players is ideal for perfecting your strategies, novice players may notice that there are no demo versions available for live casino sessions. It is reserved for online players who know the basic rules of online Roulette.
